Endicott Basketball: Big Day for Gloucester Alum

BOSTON, Mass. – The Endicott men’s basketball team defeated Lake Forest, 87-73, on Saturday night in the championship game of the Emmanuel College Tip-Off Tournament.

Elijah Kinney (Nashville, Tenn.) led all scorers with 26 points (11-15 FG, 4-4 FT), alongside a game-high nine rebounds.

Marcus Montagnino (Gloucester) posted a near triple-double with 18 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.

Matt Boen (Mansfield, Mass.) rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Gulls with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field (4-6 3PT).

Endicott led wire-to-wire in the contest and built a differential as high as 24 points with 7:52 remaining in the second half.

The Gulls did most of their damage in the first half shooting 62.1% from the field (18-29), highlighted by an 11-for-20 showing from long distance (55%).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • First-ever meeting between the programs.
  • Montagnino and Kinney were named co-MVPs of the Emmanuel Tip-Off Tournament.
  • Boen was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
