LYNN – (Radio – Videos – Photos) Dighton-Rehoboth scored an extra inning (8) 1-0 win over Danvers in the MIAA division two state championship baseball game at Lynn’s Fraser Field. In the home half of the 8th inning DR had the bases loaded with one out and Steve Silvia laid down a bunt between the first base line and the mound allowing Brodie Rubenstein to score from third base without a play at the plate. The win snapped a 15 game Danvers win streak as the Falcons had not lost a game since April 28th. DR was led on the mound by pitcher Joey Rogers and effective left handed league all-star allowing 3 hits and striking out 9 Danvers batters. Danvers starting pitcher Dean Borders pitched a scoreless 4 1/3 innings and was relieved by Andrew Olszak who worked out of 5th inning jam.
