DANVERS – Starting on Monday October 21, The Town’s contractor, Aqua Line Utility, will begin mobilization and setting up traffic control for the Summer Street Culvert Replacement Project. The contractor will be performing this improvement under the supervision of the Town’s Department of Public Works and Arcadis, the Town’s Engineering Consultant.
The major components of the work will consist of but not limited to replacement of the existing metal drain pipe in Summer Street, replacement of the drain manhole, the installation of a concrete headwall and paving.
On Tuesday, October 22, Aqua Line Utility will begin prepping the area, installing two new gate valves, and relocating the water main to accommodate a new 30” HDPE culvert.
Police details will be on-site throughout the week to assist with road closures, traffic control and safety. Please refer to the detour map for road closures and detours that will be in place.
Construction will feature delayed starts and early finishes to avoid disruptions for school students and buses.
