DANVERS CHILD PULLED FROM POOL LAST NIGHT HAS DIED

DANVERS – The two-year-old Danvers child pulled from his family’s in-ground pool last night has died at Boston Children’s Hospital.

At 7:56 last night Danvers Police received a 911 call of a near-drowning at 9 Drury Lane during a small gathering of family and friends.  Griffin Lamar was discovered in the pool by family members, who immediately began CPR.

Emergency personnel responded and transported the child to Beverly Hospital.  From there he was taken by med-flight to Boston.

The case is being investigated by Danvers police and state police detectives assigned to the Office of Essex District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett.
