Danvers Baseball Wins NEC North Title Game – 4-3 Over Beverly – Dean Borders Pitches Win –

DANVERS – (Radio – Videos – Photos)  The Danvers baseball team scored three runs in the first inning and one more in the third inning to hold on to defeat Beverly 4-3 to win the Northeastern Conference North title. Beverly had beaten Danvers earlier this year 5-4. Tony Mento drove in two runs with a double in the first inning and Zach Dillion singled home the game winning win in the third inning. Dean Borders pitched 6 innings to earn his 9th win of the season. Andrew Olszak entered the game to pitch the 7th inning to earn a save. Matt Andreas walked twice, singled and scored two runs for the Falcons. Rocky Pisa pitched well in defeat for Beverly. Nick Contraro had two hits for Beverly.
