WAKEFIELD – (Photos & Videos) The Arlington Catholic Cougars (18-6) had to come from behind in the third quarter to down the Hamilton-Wenham Generals (15-9) by a score of 49-38. AC saw a 20 point first-half lead evaporate in the fourth quarter when H-W captain Elizabeth Kirschner ( 13 points) tied the game at 7:22 of the final frame following her steal and three-point play. The Generals held AC to 1 field goal and 3 points in the third to gain a 33-32 lead in the fourth. Clutch baskets by sophomore Erin Donlan (game-high scorer with 20 points) and senior Lena Perez regained the lead for the Cougars, and they ended up winning going away. Arlington Catholic will now face South Champion Foxboro High School (21-2) next week at the Boston Garden.
