SALEM – In this edition of CONNECTIONS, Salem News journalist Paul Leighton details his reporting of Salem State University’s plans to “stay sustainable” after the school has seen a 30% drop in enrollment over the past decade.  Paul also updates his continuing investigation into the contamination of property in Beverly in and around the former site owned by Varian Corporation; and he discusses the proposed renovation of the Beverly High School turf field that will cost an estimated $750,000 and could present some environmental disposal issues.
