City of Salem Launches Website Redesign that Offers Convenient Resident Access to Self-Service Features and Greater Transparency

Community members invited to visit www.salemma.gov to explore new website features

SALEM, MA – Mayor Dominick Pangallo has announced that the City of Salem has launched its new website today, March 6, 2025.

The City of Salem website, www.salemma.gov, has undergone a 2025 re-design process with CivicPlus, a leading government website provider. The City website now has improved search capabilities, calendar functionality, an alert center and personalized logins, as well as a cleaner, easier layout to navigate for the community.

“We’re constantly striving to improve the transparency of local government and our community members’ access to municipal services and information,” said Mayor Pangallo. “In furtherance of those goals, over the last year, City staff, officials, and outside partners have been working on the redesign of the official City of Salem website. Today, I’m pleased to announce the launch of the new City website and want to thank all who have been part of the thoughtful process to make this possible. I also want to invite our community to visit the new site and provide their feedback on it, as we’ll be continuing to edit, tweak, and improve this important new information platform over the days and weeks ahead.”

Salem community members will be able to more easily engage with local government services through some of the new featured modules, and the redesigned website has the capability to serve as a personalized tool to download forms, submit applications and permits, pay bills, and submit and track inquiries.  With the new website the City of Salem aims to increase its community engagement and enhance communication between residents and the departments serving the City.
