City of Salem Launches Relief Fund to Support Those Displaced by November 2 Fire
The City of Salem is launching a relief effort for residents displaced by a house fire on Felt Street in the early morning hours of November 2. Donations are now being collected to support them as they begin to recover from the fire.
Additionally, if you know of apartments for rent in Salem that may be available for these displaced individuals, please contact jmota@salem.com, and we will share the information with the victims.
Donating Funds
Donations may be made online at https://unipaygold.unibank.com/transactioninfo.aspx, or by check at any Salem Five bank branch. Donations may also be mailed to:
Salem Relief Fund
c/o Salem Five
71 Washington Street
Salem MA 01970
Please make your check payable to “Salem Relief Fund.”  Donations are tax deductible, and all donated funds will be divided among the victims to help them secure a new place to live, purchase food, home goods, and clothing.
Donating Items
In lieu of donating items, those who would like to help the victims recover are encouraged to give cash donations, so individuals have the most flexibility in rebuilding their lives. Cash and gift cards may be dropped off at the Constituent Services Office of the Mayor, Salem City Hall, 93 Washington Street (2nd floor), during regular business hours.
