SalemRecycles’ Free Book Swap returns to the Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street on Saturday, March 22 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm! Attendees will find an impressive collection of donated books, CDs, DVDs, video games, records, puzzles, and greeting cards – all FREE! Browse the tables for great reads to enjoy through the spring and summer.
Swapping isn’t necessary, but donations are welcome.
TO DONATE, bring items to the Community Life Center on Friday, March 21, between 4:00 and 7:00 pm or Saturday, March 22, between 9:00 am and noon. Items should be clean, dry, and mildew free. (Sorry, no magazines or VHS or cassette tapes.)
Because Book Swap is busiest at the beginning, we encourage you to join us during the second half if you’re able. There will still be plenty of books to choose from!
All leftover materials will be donated or recycled.
Bring your TerraCycle items! SalemRecycles will also be collecting used, dried Swiffer pads; razors, blades, cartridges, and their packaging; toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, floss containers, and toothbrush packaging; and Brita dispensers, pitchers, bottles, filters, and packaging. We are no longer accepting deodorant containers or mouthwash bottles.
Volunteers: We’d love to have your help on Saturday! To learn more or to volunteer, please contact Alisa Cherkasova at acherkasova@salem.com or 978-619-5672.
