Mayor Greg Verga and the City of Gloucester are proud to announce that the 2025 Gloucester Municipal Harbor Plan and Designated Port Area Master Plan has been approved by the State.
This plan will chart the course for the future of Gloucester’s working waterfront, with a focus on creating jobs, investing in harbor infrastructure, and growing the city’s maritime economy through both traditional fisheries and emerging blue economy sectors.
As part of putting the plan into action, Mayor Verga has made it a priority to bring on a full-time Economic Development Coordinator, an essential role for advancing recommendations from the plan.
