Chelmsford Police Department Responds to Armed Robbery

CHELMSFORD – Chief Colin Spence reports that the Chelmsford Police Department responded to an armed robbery on Monday morning.

At 2:41 a.m. on Monday, July 31, Chelmsford Police responded to a 911 call reporting an armed robbery at a business at 71 Drum Hill Road. Through an initial investigation, responding officers learned that a man entered the store wearing a black gaiter-style mask, demanded cash and disposable nicotine cartridges, and showed the clerk what appeared to be a handgun.

Chelmsford Police, supported by K-9 Officer David Leo, K-9 Alun, and Lowell Police, searched the immediate area but were unable to locate a suspect.

The suspect is described as a male about 6 feet tall. At the time of the robbery he was wearing all black clothing and gloves.
