GLOUCESTER – (Radio & Video) The Gloucester V.A. Outpatient Clinic at 199 Main Street was opened today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its brand news facility. According to its director, Christine Corteau, the “vision for this new expanded outpatient clinic for Gloucester began several years ago as Veteran needs had outgrown the VA Clinic at Addison Gilbert Hospital.”
The ceremony was attended by several dozen veterans from across the North Shore and was hosted by Mark Nestor, Commander of the Lester S. Wass American Legion, Post 3. After welcoming remarks from Dr. Glen Gechlik, Acting Chief Medical Officer, VISN, (VA New England), those in attendance heard comments from Director Croteau, Congressman Seth Moulton, State Senator Bruce Tarr, Gloucester Mayor Sefatia Romeo-Theken, Gloucester city council president Joe Ciolino, and former state representative Tony Verga, who was recognized by the city of Gloucester for his efforts in aiding veterans.
