BOSTON – (Videos – Photos) The St. Mary’s girls basketball team defeated Rockland 53-37 in the MIAA Division Three state semi final game at Boston Garden. The Spartans were tied with Rockland at the half (18-18) but outscored the Bulldogs in the final two quarters 35-19. St. Mary’s leading scorers were Maiya Bergdorf (13), Olivia Matela (9), Nicolette D’Itria (8), and Yirsy Queliz, Van Nguyen, and Gabriella Torres all scored 7 points. Rockland was led by Julia Elie (14) and Caroline Elie (12).
