Body Found on Plum Island Identified

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has identified the body found in the Parker Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island in Newbury as that of Jocelyn McLaughlin, 59, of Newburyport.  Her body was discovered by 2 people walking the beach on Sunday morning.

Newbury Police and Federal Wildlife Officials worked with Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Essex District Attorney’s Office to investigate the death.  Investigators have ruled out foul play.
