From Beverly Mayor Mike Cahill:
This is Mayor Mike Cahill with one last – hopefully – trash and recycling update this Sunday afternoon. Since Republic missed so very many regular Wednesday customers on Friday, the last day of the trash strike, Republic will waive the two barrel trash limit for regular Wednesday customers this coming week as well as for regular Thursday and Friday customers. Those regular Wednesday customers who were missed by Republic this past week should put your trash and recycling back out on your regular day this Wednesday.
Now that the trash strike is over, trash and recycling pickup will both resume on the regular schedule starting tomorrow, so everyone is back to your regular day to put out your trash and recycling. Also, Republic will pick up one bulk item per week for those who need to put items out. If you have appliances to have picked up, please go to the city website – beverlyma.gov – for information on how to sign up with Republic for the October white goods pickup. Also, please remember that when putting your recycling out for pickup, plastic bags are not recyclable, so please do not put your recycling materials out in plastic bags. More information on what we can and cannot recycle can be found on the website as well – one more time, that is beverlyma.gov Thank you All again for your patience and help during the trash strike.
