MARBLHEAD (Video – Photos) Beverly boys basketball avenged a loss to Marblehead earlier this season by beating the Magicians Thursday night 74-67. It was a game where Beverly held several double digit leads throughout parts of the game. Marblehead’s last lead was 10-9 early in the first quarter. However, Marblehead made two strong runs to close to within one point (50-49) in the third quarter and to within three points in the final minute of the game (70-67). Beverly was led in scoring by Dylan Crowley’s 33 points with teammate Ryder Frost added 18 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists. With the win, Beverly takes control of the Northeastern Conference with their one league loss, just ahead of Marblehead after the Magicians recorded their second league loss in the game tonight. Marblehead was led in scoring by Isaiah Makor’s 15 points.
