Baseball Insider Andy Carbone Updates Red Sox News, Concerns, MLB Notes – Navigators Add Two More Players

NORTH SHORE – The Red Sox will continue their opening home series tonight when they host the Baltimore Orioles. Yesterday in the home opener, Red Sox #1 starter David Price and #1 reliever Craig Kimbrel could not get the job done in the Orioles 9-7 win. Several moves by manager John Farrell have been questioned, Andy Carbone shares his thoughts.

Lynn, MAThe North Shore Navigators have added two more players to the 2016 roster. Both are having outstanding spring seasons.

From Trinity College by way of Canterbury High School in Ft. Myers, FL comes Nick DiBenedetto. The 6′ 0″ 199-pound junior is holding down the SS spot this spring for Trinity and is leading the Bantams with a .348 average. A four-sport athlete in high school (baseball, football, basketball, and soccer) DiBenedetto is excited to join the Navs and play at Fraser in front of his family who spend their summers in Nahant.
Currently a sophomore at Frederick (MD) Community College, Dylan Gutierrez is a 6′ 0″ 190-pound outfielder / pitcher. Highly recruited out of Waverly (NY) Central (Virginia, Florida State, North Carolina) Guitierrez is currently hitting .365. In addition, he has made 4 appearances on the mound and will be a two-way player this summer for the Navs.
