NAVIGATOR TEAM GAME STORY FROM MONDAY

The Navigators and the Silver Knights spilt today’s double header. The Navigators are now 9-15 on the season while the knights improve to 13-12 after today’s split.

Thanks to a 10-Run first inning the Navigators took game 1 of the doubleheader 11-5.

Tyler Kapuscinski (Marist), started the beating as he laced a 2-Run Triple, Nick Falkson (Tufts) added an RBI groundout after. Nate Rossi (Keene State), Brad Douglas (Rhode Island) and Joey Pena (St. Thomas Aquinas) each contributed an RBI single for the NAVS which brought the lead up to 6-0 at the time but they weren’t done. Tyler Kapuscinski added an RBI bases loaded walk, Falkson followed with an RBI single scoring two more runs for the NAVS, Chris Cabrera (Broward) ended the scoring fest with one more RBI single and after an inning and a half your North Shore Navigators were up 10-0 on Monday Afternoon. Jeff Mejia (Umass-Lowell) provided the NAVS with one more run thanks to an RBI single in the sixth inning.

The Silver Knights didn’t go quietly though, in the bottom of the third inning Ryan Sullivan (Southern New Hampshire) tallied an RBI double for his club. In the fourth inning Aiden McDermott (St. Johns) added an RBI groundout to SS, Bryce Walker (Hartford) and Harry Robinson (Amherst College) added RBI singles for the silver knights but that would be all they could muster in the fourth they’d add one more in the fifth inning thanks to a Cam Cruz (Eastern Michigan) RBI knock.

Navigators offense was unstoppable in game 1 with every member in the Lineup securing a base hit. Tyler Kapuscinski and Nick Falkson were some of the game 1 notables. Tyler went 2-3 with 3 RBI and Falkson had 3 RBI’s of his own in game 1.

In game 2 it was a different story for the Navigators as they dropped 6-5. Same story different result however as your Navigators brought the Bats again in game 2. In the first inning Tyler Kapucinski drove in a run thanks to an RBI single, Alex Brickman (St. Petersburg) added two more runs thanks to a 2-run bomb Brickman has been on fire lately and there is no stopping him. But the Knights chipped away in the bottom of the first Ryan Sullivan drove in a run for his club thanks to a Sac Fly. In the third inning Alex Brickman came through again with an RBI single scoring fellow teammate Falkson from third. In the bottom of the third Harry Robinson for the knights drove in a run of his own and that made it 4-2 after three innings of play.

But the Knights didn’t go quietly as they showed much more fight in game to, in the fourth inning Ted Williams (Millersville) drove in a run with a single and in the bottom of the 6th Cam Cruz concluded the rally with a game winning three run homerun.

Offense was sure in display today. Join us this week as the Navigators come home Wednesday-Friday! Come and show your support!
