LOWELL – (Videos – Photos) Austin Prep scored four runs in the fifth inning to take the MIAA Division Three North Softball title at Martin Field in Lowell, 4-0 over St. Mary’s of Lynn. Sophomore pitcher Logan MacDonald was pitched the complete game, allowing only 3 hits. St. Mary’s starting pitcher Mia Nowicki did not allow a hit in her effort Sunday afternoon, however she did sit out the fifth inning, coaches decision, due to her diagnosis this week with mono. St. Mary’s finishes the year at 19-5, Austin Prep is now 21-3.
