DANVERS – The St. John’s Prep Eagles (5-1) have been in a number of close games a third of the way through the season. Coach Kristian Hanson has stressed team defense, as the Eagles have allowed only 6 goals through the first 6 games. He’d (obviously) like to see more scoring (the Prep had tallied 15 goals); and he acknowledges that there have been some growing pains with11 new players on varsity.
The Prep faces D1’s number-one rated team, Xaverian (6-1-0), in Canton on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
