WINTHROP – The Winthrop Vikings (4-1-0) downed the Medford Mustangs (5-3-0) 4-0 on Tuesday night, inserting a couple of younger players into the lineup. Coach Dale Dunbar likes the way his team got off to a fast start and how it played its usual stingy game on defense. Next up is Marbelhead (3-2-1) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Larsen Arena.
Coach Dunbar also attended the Winter Classic on Monday, describing it as a great experience for fans and players.
