WINTHROP – The Winthrop Vikings (6-2-1) challenged a tough D1 opponent in Lexington (7-3-1) Monday night, and played well; but they came up short with a 3-2 overtime loss. Winthrop coach Dale Dunbar is satisfied with his team’s performance and believes it will help the Vikings continue to improve.
The Vikings are ranked number 3 in the MIAA D4 Power Rankings and travel to Stoneham (2-6-1) for a Wednesday night game at 6 p.m.
