WINTHROP – The Winthrop Vikings (8-0-1) travel to the Haverhill Valley Forum Saturday for a showdown with the Masconomet Chieftains (9-2-0) – puck-drop scheduled for 7:30. Winthrop coach Dale Dunbar exhorts his team to “get to three,” because team philosophy dictates that if you score 3 goals, you’ve got a good chance of winning the game, as the Vikings defense generally does not allow the opposition to score more than 2.
