DANVERS – It started with the defense, and the offense did its share, too, in the 49-14 win by St. John’s Prep (2-0) over Central Catholic (1-1) on Saturday. Eagles coach Brian St. Pierre had his team primed to take on the visitors who had scored 67 points the week before against another highly-ranked football team.
Haverhill (0-2) visits the Prep Friday at 6 p.m.
