NORTH READING – North Reading High School opened up its Fall 2 football season last week with a 33-13 win over Manchester-Essex. Hornets coach Ed Blum, now in his fourth season as head coach, saw a lot of good things in the Hornets win over the Green Hornets. According to Coach Blum, Manchester-Essex runs an offense that is similar to the offense of this week’s opponent, the Ipswich Tigers. Gametime is at 1 p.m. Saturday in Ipswich.
