NEWBURYPORT – The Newburyport Clippers got off to a great start of the season with a close win over Masconomet. According to Newburyport High School football coach Ben Smolski, it had been a long time since the Clippers had won a game at the Chieftains home field.
Next up for Newburyport: they host Bedford (0-1) Friday at 6:30.
