SALEM – Marblehead High School baseball coach Mike Giardi reports on Wednesday’s 5-1 (correcting an editing error) win by the Magicians over Salem.
Salem’s Ethan Doyle kept the Magicians in check for 4+ innings but Marblehead finally got on the board in the 5th with 2 runs and added three more in the 6th for a 5-1 victory over Salem at Salem State.
Senior Captain Jacob Sherf threw a 7 Inning CG giving up just 5 hits with 8 strikeouts and 2 walks and one earned run
Junior Schuyler Schmitt led the way for the Magicians with 3 doubles. He had one RBI as well as scored twice.
Seniors Gadot Gaskins and Charlie Titus each added two hits as well.
The Magicians next face the Tanners of Peabody on Friday at 4 pm at Seaside Park.
