LYNNFIELD – Lynnfield High School hockey coach Jon Gardner considers the Pioneers (18-1-1) win in a close game over Gloucester (12-7-1) Wednesday as a proper tuneup for the upcoming playoffs. While awaiting tournament seedings and pairings, the Pioneers were rated number 2 in the most recent MIAA D3 Power Rankings. The Fishermen sat at number 12 in the D2 MIAA Power Rankings.
