LYNNFIELD – Lynnfield High School hockey coach Jon Gardner has guided the Pioneers to a 10-2 overall record, 3-1 in the Cape Ann League. Facing a rematch with North Reading (10-2-1, 2-1-0), the Pioneers aim to avenge an earlier 5-2 loss to the Hornets.
In the interview below, Coach Gardner recaps some of the highlight of the season so far and talks about: some of the team’s major contributors; having an assistant coach who happens to be his twin brother Jay; and the challenges that have been met along with the challenges still to come.
