LYNNFIELD – Despite losing twice to North Reading, the Lynnfield Pioneers finished with the same 10-4 record as the Hornets, but had a better record overall at 14-4 vs. 14-5. Senior Alex Gentile has been named Moynihan Lumber Student-Athlete of the month for his outstanding play on the diamond.
Lynnfield coach John O’Brien will have his D3 number 12-ranked Pioneers stay in shape by playing in a weekend tournament before taking a day off to rest.
