IPSWICH – Ipswich High School girls lacrosse coach Allison Tivnan is excited for her team’s accomplishments and optimistic about the future as the Tigers are seeded number 1 in the D4 MiIAA Girls’ Lacrosse Tournament. At 15-1, the Tigers’ only loss was at the hands of Newburyport (16-1), who are seeded number one in D3. Led by superior goaltending and defense, Ipswich allowed only one school other than Newburyport to score in double digits against them.
Not having played since May 24, the Tigers are eager to get started and will face either Belchertown (7-9) or Upper Cape (15-3) on Monday.
