READING – The Ipswich High School girls’ lacrosse team has advanced to the D4 State Championship game following the 4th-seeded Tigers’ (19-1) 12-11 come-from-behind-win over top-seeded Weston (17-4) Monday. Coach Allison Tivnan has the game summary below, and in the interview, she recaps the heart-pounding win.
Ipswich beat Weston 12-11! The Tigers were led offensively by Halle Greenleaf (4 goals), Allie Wile (4 goals) Estelle Gromko (2 goals, 1 assist), Lucy Winthrop and Ella Stein. Lyla Greenleaf had 3 assists. Emma Paquette was outstanding in goal with 10 huge saves and 2 ground balls. Lucy Winthrop, Halle Greenleaf and Ella Stein were outstanding on the draw. The Tigers move on the D4 state final!
