GLOUCESTER – Gloucester High School field hockey coach Lauren Riley Gove guided her team from a slow start at the beginning of the season to an overall record (including playoffs so far) of 15-1-3, the lone loss at the hands, legs and sticks of D2’s unbeaten #1 seed, the Masconomet Chieftains (16-0-3). Masco, by the way, won its first game in its D2 bracket by a score of 14-0 over Tewksbury.(9-10).
