AMESBURY – In the Sweet 16 round of the MIAA D7 Football Tournament, every team that won was a higher seed than the team that lost; that included number 6 seed Amesbury’s (7-1) 44-14 win over number 11 seed Wahconah (5-4). With the return of Max Sanchez, Amesbury coach Colin McQueen is looking to ‘break the pattern” this week with the Red Hawks heading to West Bridgewater (7-2), the higher seed at number 3. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. Friday.
