MARBLEHEAD – After trailing 4-2, Marblehead took advantage of some miscues by Peabody and came up with some timely hitting to put 9 runs on the board in the top of the 7th.
Senior Ben Weed went 6.2 innings giving up 4 runs (2 earned).
Junior AJ Andriano came in and threw 1.1 innings for his 3rd win of the season.
Marblehead struggled to get the bats going early but put several hard balls in play late which led to the 9 runs.
Junior Schuyler Schmitt put the Magicians out in front with a 2 RBI bases loaded single and Sophomore Shane Keough added a bases clearing double that extended the lead.
Marblehead is now 7-2 and travels to Swampscott on Friday afternoon.
