GLOUCESTER – In this edition of “From the Mayor’s Office,” Gloucester Mayor Greg Verga emphasizes that submitting an action plan for zoning in MBTA communities like Gloucester is a requirement by state law. According to Mayor Verga, the plan does not require the construction of new housing at this time. The mayor also gives an update on some of the infrastructure work that is continuing in the city, including the construction of flood barriers along the canal near Gloucester High School.
