(Audio) Endicott College Hockey Ranked Number 3 Nationally in D3 – Hear from Assistant Coach Ty Hanrahan

BEVERLY – The Endicott Gulls (20-2-2) are currently ranked number 3 nationally in Division 3, despite losing on Saturday night to Curry (19-4-1) 3-2 in the second of two games in two nights.  Assistant coach Ty Hanrahan, currently working on his MBA at Endicott, is in his 5th season assisting head coach R.J. Tolan.

No. 3 Men’s Ice Hockey Falls To No. 6 Curry, 3-2

CANTON, Mass. – The No. 3 nationally ranked Endicott men’s ice hockey team lost to No. 6 Curry on Saturday afternoon in conference action at the Canton Ice House.

The Gulls allowed two early goals before Jack Ring (Guilford, Conn.) found the back of the net at the 16:00 minute mark of the first period.

Following a third tally by Curry, Noah Strawn (Wareham, Mass.) cut into the Colonels’ lead (08:44) before Endicott ultimately fell short of the comeback bid.

Meanwhile, Ryan Wilson (Shelton, Conn.) stopped 25 shots in the setback (10-2-0).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Despite the loss, Endicott leads Curry in the all-time series 14-5-1.
  • The Gulls suffered their first loss in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play this season.
  • Curry is riding a four-game winning streak.

Endicott (20-2-2, 18-1-2 CCC) has secured the No. 1 seed heading into the CCC Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament. Curry (20-4-1, 16-4-1 CCC) has secured the No. 2 seed heading into the CCC Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament.
