Over the Labor Day weekend we are reprising over 25 feature interviews with north shore football coaches. In these interviews the coaches share memories from the days as players and reflect on the events and people that have shaped them as coaches. These interviews were conducted in August, many of them prior to the first day of practices (8/18). After Labor Day, msonewsports will be previewing opening high school matchups on the opening weekend of play. (9/8)
DANVERS – Dan Connors was introduced to football at an early age when the Everett Crimson were winning D1 Super Bowls almost annually. Beginning his freshman year, he started learning the game immediately and worked his way up to captain the Crimson his senior year.
In this interview, Coach Connors looks back on the glory days of Everett football, recounts his college playing days, and talks of the day-to-day routine of being a high school coach and school counselor.
