Have information on the unresolved homicide of Henry Bedard? Contact us via phone (1-88-MA-SOLVE) or email (mspunresolved@pol.state.ma.us). Bedard, who was 15 at the time, was last seen on this date in 1974 on Paradise Road in Swampscott after Christmas shopping in Vinnin Square.

Gloucester Fire Department – Fire Chief Eric Smith is pleased to share that the Gloucester Firefighter Union, collected more than 200 gifts for families in need this holiday season. Toys and monetary donations were collected on Saturday, Dec. 14. Monetary donations were collected at Stop & Shop and used to help fund a large shopping event. The Gloucester Firefighters Union fulfilled wish lists from children across the Cape Ann region, including toys, clothes, and more.  The rear cab of Ladder 2 was filled with collections.

Donations were given to the North Shore Kids Holiday Fund, which supports Wellspring House, and Pathways for Children and Action, which supports local families and children with gifts for Christmas.

Chief Smith and Gloucester Fire Department would like to thank residents and community members for their generosity and wish all a happy holiday season.|

Indoor Track: FINAL – Over the weekend, the Hornets kicked off their season vs. Lynnfield at the Track at New Balance. Despite the losses, the Hornets performed exceptionally well and saw three Hornets qualify for States: Abby K. (55m/600m), Eleanor H. (mile), & Alex R. (300m).
