Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Responds to Motor Vehicle Crash Involving Juvenile Pedestrian

MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — Chief Todd Fitzgerald reports that the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a juvenile pedestrian.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 2:59 p.m. Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department responded to the area of Central Street for reports of a juvenile pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile who appeared to be injured. The juvenile was transported to an area hospital.

The driver remained on-scene and was cooperative with police.

An initial investigation determined that the driver of the vehicle was traveling at a safe rate of speed when the juvenile ran into the road from behind a parked car without looking both ways.

There are no charges at this time. The driver of the vehicle was cited for Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle.

This incident remains under investigation by Manchester-by-the-Sea Police.
