BEVERLY – Saturday afternoon, Beverly Firefighters were dispatched to the area between Aubuchon Hardware and Wenham Lake for a report of an outside fire.
When crews arrived, they found heavy, wind driven fire threatening the Aubuchon block and advancing south. Engine 5 arrived and immediately hit the fire threatening the Aubuchon building and following crews attacked the fire advancing southward.
Crews from Beverly, Danvers, Wenham, Gloucester, and DCR all worked for hours containing and extinguishing the fire.
