GLOUCESTER — The City of Gloucester, with support from TownGreen, is hosting a free in-person community education session on geothermal energy, open to residents (both renters and property owners), neighborhood stakeholders, and anyone interested in learning more. This 1.5-hour program will explore the growing role of networked geothermal energy in the transition to sustainable energy sources.

WHAT: Geothermal Energy: Networking People, Neighborhoods, and Buildings

WHEN: Tuesday, November 12th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM

WHERE: Gloucester High School cafeteria, 32 Leslie O Johnson Rd. Gloucester, MA

WHY: Learn from experts and community leaders on how geothermal energy works and how it is applied in neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and residences.

“Gloucester has been committed to exploring and implementing sustainable, green energy options for our City, including geothermal,” stated Mayor Greg Verga. “This is a valuable opportunity for residents and businesses to learn about this innovative energy source, adding another tool to our efforts in reducing both our carbon footprint and energy costs.
