The Salem Fire Department has been addressing a brush fire that has been burning on and off over the last week in the woods on the Salem, Peabody, and Lynn lines. There are no immediate dangers to any structures due to how far into the woods the fire is located. You may occasionally smell smoke from these brush fires until they are entirely extinguished.

Level 4 drought conditions allow outdoor lawn & garden watering with sprinklers and/or irrigation systems on Tuesday and Saturday ONLY, from 7:00PM to 10:00PM. Hand watering (handheld hoses with nozzles and watering cans) is allowed anytime. Car washing is also allowed. For additional information about the levels of water restrictions, please visit, https://www.danversma.gov/654/Outdoor-Water-Use-Restrictions.
