Tewksbury Police Arrest and Charge Lynn Man and Another Man with Breaking and Entering, Larceny

TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department arrested and charged two men with breaking and entering.

MIGUEL GOMES, AGE 21 of KINGSTON, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Breaking and Entering during Nighttime
  • Larceny from a Building
  • Vandalizing Property

AIDEN HOLGUN, AGE 18 of LYNN, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Breaking and Entering during Nighttime
  • Larceny from a Building
  • Vandalizing Property

On Wednesday, Sept. 11 at approximately 11:21 p.m., Tewksbury Police responded to Smitty’s Liquor, 1091 Main St., for reports of two individuals who appeared to be smashing the front door.

Upon arrival, officers observed an individual running from the scene.  Officers apprehended the individual, identified as GOMES, and placed him under arrest.

Officers then located the second individual leaving the scene, identified as HOLGUN. HOLGUN was arrested without incident.

A preliminary investigation determined that GOMES and HOLGUN broke the glass window and front door of the building and took merchandise.

Through a subsequent search of GOMES’s belongings, officers found several bottles of alcohol.

GOMES and HOLGUN are scheduled to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Thursday, Sept. 12.

“I want to thank our officers for their quick response and apprehension of these two individuals,” said Chief Columbus. “This is another example of great police work by our team.”
