The Danvers Electric Division is excited to announce the installation of new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at multiple convenient locations throughout Danvers. This initiative supports our commitment to promoting sustainable transportation and providing residents and visitors with accessible charging options for their electric vehicles.
These charging stations were made possible by a Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) grant through the MassEVIP Public Access Charging Grant program.
The new charging stations are strategically located to offer maximum convenience and coverage, making it easier than ever for EV owners to charge their vehicles while enjoying all Danvers offers. These locations include:
- Page St Public Parking Lot: Offering easy access to Downtown.
- Danvers High School (Tennis Court Parking Lot): Convenient for students, staff, and visitors.
- Endicott Park: Ideal for park-goers and families enjoying recreational activities.
Users can download and utilize the ChargePoint app to find the exact locations of all charging stations in Danvers. This app provides real-time information on charging station availability, directions, and charging status, ensuring a seamless and efficient charging experience.
“We are proud to enhance our community’s infrastructure with these new EV charging stations,” said Clint Allen, Acting Utility Director of Danvers Electric. “This project is part of our ongoing efforts to support sustainable practices and reduce our carbon footprint. We are taking a significant step towards a greener future by making it easier for residents and visitors to charge their electric vehicles.”
The Danvers Electric Division remains committed to providing our community with reliable and sustainable energy solutions. For more information about our new EV charging stations and other green initiatives, please visit our Resilient Danvers website at https://resilient.danversma.gov/our-plan.
