Manchester-Essex Athletics – Congratulations to the Hornets Boys Tennis team – winners of the 2024 CAL Open!!
The Ipswich Girls Track team won the MSTCA DVI State Relays on Friday night. Ipswich won four events and broke three meet records. The Pole Vault team of Lily Harper, Alana Novello, and Kameya Perron won the event breaking the meet record, the school record, and Kameya Perron broke her personal school record with a vault of 10’0″. The shuttle hurdle relay team of Kameya Perron, Alana Novello, Stella Whitten and Izzy Greenlea won with a meet record time of 1:08.67. Stella Whitten, Alana Novello, Lily Harper and Soren Shearer won the 4X400 relay and broke the meet record with a time of 4:20.79. The Tigers also won the 4X800 relay team with Stella Whitten, Soren Shearer, Mary Love and Moira Healey. The 4X200 relay team of Jenny White, Una Whyte, Lily Harper, and Amelia Mooradd placed second. Ipswich took third in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump (Amelia Mooradd, Bella Bruno, Kameya Perron and Amelia Mooradd, Bella Bruno, Mia Broglino respectively). The distance medley team of Collette Love, Grace Wen, Izzy Greenlea, and Moira Healey placed fifth overall.

Worcester State at Salem State (DH) – Brock Pare (Lowell) and Cam Fisher (Burlington, Conn.) combined for 11.1 innings and gave up one earned run, giving Salem State a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) doubleheader sweep over Worcester State by scores of 2-1 and 6-1 on Saturday. The Vikings improve to 8-13, 11-7 while the Lancers drop to 8-24, 7-11.
The Vikings will travel to North Adams on May 3 to take on the MCLA Trailblazers for a MASCAC contest. First pitch is scheduled at 3:00 p.m.
Endicott at Hartford – The No. 1 nationally ranked Endicott baseball team swept Hartford, 15-1 and 22-4, in a non-conference doubleheader tilt at Fiondella Field on Saturday afternoon.

- Gottesman’s 12 strikeouts ties three Gulls for third most in program single-game history and sets a new career-high.
- MacDougall deposited two home runs, five RBI, and four runs over the two-game stretch.
- All starters recorded at least one hit in both games.
- Mulready led the offensive efforts with a season-high three hits in game one, while Liponis tied a career-high and led the team with his four hits in game two.

Suffolk at Endicott (DH) – The Endicott softball team split a pair of conference games against Suffolk, (L, 4-2 | W, 9-1, 6 inn.) on Saturday evening. Prior to the game, Jaylin Couto (Taunton), Abigail Gilbert (Millbury), Lindsay Joubert (Haverhill), and Christina Nowicki (Chelsea) were all honored for their contributions to the program and the College as part of a Senior Day ceremony.
- Endicott is 9-3 all-time against Suffolk.
- Nowicki had one double and two triples (tied third most all-time for a single game) in the nightcap.
- Gilbert earned her third career win.
- Saccoccio hit her first collegiate homer.
Endicott (21-10, 12-2 CCC) welcomes Brandeis to campus on Tuesday, April 30 for a single game at 4 PM
Worcester State at Salem State (DH) – Salem State softball welcomed the Lancers from Worcester State University for a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) matchup. The Lancers would use five innings to take the 8-0 victory in the first game before a 14-hit performance led the Lancers to the 7-0 victory in game two. The losses dropped the Vikings to 10-24 overall and 5-7 in MASCAC action. The Vikings will host Lesley University this Thursday, May 2 for their final non-conference doubleheader of the season. Game one is scheduled to start at 4p.m. followed by game two.
