GEORGETOWN – Chief David Sedgwick shares that Georgetown Police officers and two Georgetown Middle High School seniors worked together to give the station garage a fresh coat of paint.
After the floor was resurfaced in the garage, three Georgetown officers volunteered to help repaint the walls on Feb. 27.
On April 10, Georgetown Middle High School seniors Isabelle Gondella and Olivia Hiltz were invited to the station to use their artistic abilities to paint the Department patch on the wall.
School Resource Officer (SRO) Taylor Ford selected Gondella and Hiltz because they have previously painted murals at GMHS.
“A huge thank you to our officers who volunteered their time to give the station a much-needed refresh and to the talented Isabelle and Olivia, who did a wonderful job painting our patch,” said Chief Sedgwick. “I explained to them that this would be the last time they could deface a police station and get away with it! We thank them for their excellent work and wish them well after graduation.”
