PEABODY (Podcast) The Bishop Fenwick girls basketball team (15-3) finished up their league season last night with a 57-49 win over rival St. Mary’s of Lynn (15-5). The Crusaders beat the Spartans earlier this year when the two teams met at St. Mary’s (46-44). Fenwick was led last night by Cecilia Kay’s 27-points and 14 rebounds. Kay has now scored over 1,600 points in her career and also has over 1,000 career rebounds. Bishop Fenwick will wrap-up their season this weekend as they will be competing in the Comcast Tournament in Woburn on Saturday. (Bishop Fenwick vs. Woburn, 2 p.m.) In the podcast, Bishop Fenwick coach Adam DeBaggis discusses last night’s game, his players, and shares his disappointment with the fact that Fenwick teams can’t compete this season in the MIAA playoffs.

Fenwick Girls Basketball – Signing day for our own, #32 Cecilia Kay, who next fall will be off to D1 American University. Flat out one of the best leaders, players, and people I’ve ever met. I’m proud of her and proud to be her coach.
Fenwick Girls Basketball – Congrats to these two great kids on their commitments to play at the next level. I have been very lucky to coach them this year and wish I had more time with them
