City of Lynn – Spring is upon us, which means the City’s Park Clean-Up Program is underway! Students, families, groups, or individuals are encouraged to join us this spring and summer to help care for the community!
Hamilton-Wenham Library – Join us this Friday, March 8 at 10:30am for our Friday Morning Movie series! This week, we are showing “Wonka” (Rated PG, 1h 56m runtime). Water and movie snacks will be served. Drop in to join us! All are welcome, and registration is not required.

State Rep. Manny Cruz (Salem) – Great to be visited at the State House by my friends Dr. Darcy Burns, Executive Director of @HILLforLiteracy and Board Member David Poole. We had a great meeting discussing the upcoming budget and investments in accelerating literacy gains across the Commonwealth. According to the Boston Globe, 50% of schools across the Commonwealth have a literacy curriculum that has been deemed low quality by the state. HILL for Literacy is working with districts across our Commonwealth to expand the adoption of the Science of Reading and supports teachers & districts in implementing it. Earlier this year I joined Hill for Literacy Staff and our team at @SalemSchoolsk12 to see how this was being implemented and how we have supported our teachers to do so. I am honored to be a champion of their state budget priorities alongside Leader @RepAlicePeisch . Our kids across the Commonwealth deserve equitable access to high-quality, and evidence-based literacy curriculum!
